Introducing AgMarket

AgMarket is the trademark name (applied for) of the new market interface with AgTrax Commodity Accounting.  This capability allows you to get real time or snapshot delayed market prices directly from within AgTrax.  This module uses the latest technologies of the internet called “web services” and can be used with market information providers AgriChart(Barchart) and DTN.

AgMarket also will allow you to record day-end prices on the futures, when the market has closed.  While this has been in the system for quite some time now, the AgMarket interface will enter these prices for you at the end of the day.

Offer Contracts is another enhancement we have added to the Commodity Accounting Module.  This allows you to take offers to sell from your patrons and enter them directly into designated positions in AgTrax.  These offer contracts can be manually “triggered” or “priced” to create actual executed contracts ready for delivery.  If you have the AgMarket subscription, then a process will monitor the futures and the basis on the offer contract and automatically convert the offer contract to a purchase contract without any manual intervention by you.
